• Sonoran House Scoreboard: A full week of Flag Football (allsportstucson.com) — Rio Rico High School’s flag football team split recent games, falling to Sunnyside but bouncing back with a shutout win over Desert View. Local fans can look ahead to home and away matchups next week, including games against Buena and Santa Rita that could shape the Hawks’ early-season momentum. 
• Santa Cruz County Fair 4-H FFA Champions (patagoniaregionaltimes.org) — Young exhibitors from Rio Rico FFA and the Rio Rico Rattlesnakes 4-H Club brought home top honors from the 2025 Santa Cruz County Fair Livestock Show, including grand and reserve grand champion titles. Their animals helped raise more than $359,000 at the Youth Livestock Auction, with over $15,000 dedicated to scholarships supporting local youth agriculture programs.
