Here are the top 3 stories today in Scottsdale:
- Trying to pick up your newly hemmed pants? Well, the sign on the door says those pants are off to a local charity. That was the message on the door of Quality Alteration, a Scottsdale alterations shop that apparently closed abruptly, without notice. According to KPNX Nadya Yanovsky, the shop's owner, she had been hospitalized with COVID-19. Hoping to return next week, she and a spokesperson claim that the clothes were never donated, and all will be right within the next several weeks. Winning back the trust of her patrons' may take longer. (12news.com KPNX)
- This weekend, many of us were reminded why we left the Northeast for the Valley of the Sun. According to ABC 15 reporting, Sky Harbor witnessed many flight delays and cancellations because of a significant winter storm in the Northeast. While other airports saw more disruptions, ABC 15 reported that "more than 3,500 flights were canceled Saturday and another 1,400 on Sunday, according to FlightAware." (ABC15 Arizona)
- Today is the new listing sampler day in the Scottsdale Daily Digest. We can peruse the five new-to-the-market homes in Scottsdale, thanks to Patch reporting. Those homes include a two bedroom and one and one-half bath for $299,000, and a three bedroom and two bath for $719,900. Click on the resources to learn more. (Scottsdale Patch)

From our sponsor:
Last week, we told you about our new favorite non-alcoholic go-to — the refreshingly bitter drinks from our partners at Betera. They're chef-created from natural botanicals, lightly effervescent, and worthy of life beyond "Dry January." We mentioned that their Ginger-Orange was excellent; we've since tried Elderflower-Lime and loved it as well — light and floral with the perfect amount of zing. We're converts.
Enough of you took Betera up on their 15 percent discount on first orders for Patch Daily readers that they've extended the offer for another week. Use PATCH15 at checkout. Highly recommended — try Betera here.
