SCOTTSDALE, AZ — A California fast-casual chain known for chef-driven sandwiches and produce-focused cooking has arrived in the Valley—and it’s already expanding.

Mendocino Farms opened its first Arizona location earlier this year at Gainey Ranch, on the southeast corner of Scottsdale and Doubletree Ranch roads.

The roughly 3,000-square-foot restaurant, which includes a patio, serves lunch and dinner daily, bringing the brand’s scratch-made menu to Scottsdale for the first time.

Now, a second Scottsdale location is already on the way.

The company said it will open at The Promenade Scottsdale, 16203 N. Scottsdale Road, on June 2. A Phoenix location is also planned, though details have not yet been released.

The menu focuses on responsibly sourced proteins, seasonal produce, and housemade components. Signature items include a shaved roasted chicken sandwich topped with crispy buttermilk-polenta-herb “krispies,” a Peruvian steak sandwich with aji amarillo sauce, and a BBQ pork burnt ends sandwich on cornmeal brioche with carrot-apple slaw and herb aioli.

Guests can also choose from salads that can be ordered as wraps, plus rotating deli sides and soups. A half-sandwich combo offers pairing options with a side or cup of soup.

Housemade drinks include guava lemonade and pomegranate mint lemonade.

To celebrate the June 2 opening, the restaurant is offering a free entrée with any purchase for rewards members who select the North Scottsdale location as their home store before opening day.

Additional giveaways, including limited-edition merchandise, will be announced closer to launch.
