SCOTTSDALE, AZ — A night that started with an armed robbery in Phoenix ended with gunfire at a Scottsdale short-term rental — and now four men are facing charges.
Scottsdale police responded around 10:45 p.m. on April 12 to reports of shots fired at a rental property near 81st Street and Pine Drive.
Officers found multiple bullet strikes on the residence and recovered numerous shell casings outside. Several adults were inside at the time; however, no one was injured, police said.
Investigators believe the shooting was a targeted retaliatory act connected to the armed robbery earlier that evening.
Detectives identified the suspects through surveillance footage, forensic evidence, social media search warrants and coordination with partner agencies.
Multiple search warrants were served during the investigation, and several firearms connected to the case were recovered, police said.
The four men arrested are:
All four were booked into jail on multiple charges, including discharging a firearm in city limits, discharging a firearm at a residence and conspiracy.
"Our detectives, analysts, tactical teams and support personnel did outstanding work in identifying and arresting those responsible for this dangerous shooting," said Scottsdale Police Chief Joe LeDuc. "This case reflects the professionalism, persistence and teamwork our employees bring every day. Let this serve as a clear message: if you commit crimes in Scottsdale, we will identify you and work tirelessly to ensure justice is served."
