SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Drivers using Pima Road at night should expect construction activity starting this week as the city begins overnight paving work along a stretch of the corridor in north Scottsdale.
Work is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning this Tuesday.
Crews will be adjusting manhole covers to match the finished pavement surface along Pima Road between Lone Mountain Road and Stage Coach Pass Road.
The overnight schedule is designed to minimize disruption for daytime commuters, officials said.
Drivers passing through the area during work hours should expect an active construction zone, possible lane shifts and reduced speeds.
The city is asking motorists to slow down, stay alert and follow posted signs.
