SCOTTSDALE: If you're looking for a reason to head to Old Town for dinner, here's one: Craft 64 recently earned national recognition as one of the best pizzerias in the country.
Craft 64 ranked No. 29 on the 50 Top Pizza USA 2026 list, a national ranking compiled by anonymous inspectors who evaluate pizzerias across the U.S.
The rankings consider more than just the pizza itself, weighing factors like service, atmosphere, cleanliness and beverage program.
Reviewers highlighted the restaurant's blend of American wood-fired pizzeria and contemporary pub atmosphere, with wooden tables, a casual vibe, a patio and a well-curated drink selection.
The pizza itself was singled out for its thin, hearty crust, cooked in a wood-fired oven and built to hold up generously loaded toppings without losing its balance. The dough pairs with local ingredients and house-made mozzarella, something the restaurant considers central to its identity.
Reviewers also called out the strong selection of Arizona craft beers as part of what makes the experience feel communal, and described the service as very good.
Craft 64 has two Arizona locations, in Chandler and Scottsdale, with the Scottsdale location at 6922 E. Main St. in the heart of Old Town.
Who's Behind Craft 64
The restaurant is owned and operated by Scott Hagen, James Swann, and Roger Carpenter.
Craft 64 makes its mozzarella from scratch daily using local, organic ingredients, and sources its produce from local farmers. Its wood-fired oven runs at temperatures exceeding 900 degrees.
The restaurant offers more than 20 different beers featuring Arizona craft beer alongside an extensive wine list available for tableside service or to go.
