3 Scottsdale City Council Seats Are Up For Grabs, Here Are The Candidates

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Scottsdale voters will head to the polls Tuesday for the city’s Primary Election, where they will choose three members of the Scottsdale City Council from a field of eight candidates.

The candidates on the ballot are Crystal Carroll, Barry Graham, Ethan Knowlden, Bob Littlefield, Eric Sloan, Michelle Ugenti-Rita, Solange Whitehead and Raoul Zubia.

The election could decide all three open council seats if candidates receive enough votes in the primary. Under the Scottsdale City Charter, candidates can be elected outright during the Primary Election if they meet the required vote threshold.

If all three seats are not decided in the primary, the six candidates who receive the most votes will advance to the General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Residents who still have an early ballot are encouraged to return it as soon as possible. The recommended final day to mail an early ballot was Tuesday, July 14, to help ensure it arrives before the deadline.

Voters who have not returned an early ballot can use an official ballot drop box or vote in person at any Maricopa County voting center.

Voting centers will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21. Maricopa County voters can cast their ballot at any voting center in the county, regardless of their assigned precinct.

Before Election Day, voters should confirm their registration status, review candidate information and decide whether they plan to vote by mail or in person.
