Indoor Pickleball Boom Continues As New 13-Court Club Opens In Scottsdale

The new Scottsdale club gives players a climate-controlled place to compete, train and escape the summer heat with 13 new indoor courts.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Pickleball players looking for a break from the summer heat have a new place to play in Scottsdale.

Center Court Pickleball Club has opened its newest — and largest — Valley facility, bringing 13 indoor courts to a former retail space near Shea Boulevard and Loop 101.

The 35,000-square-foot club at 10220 N. 90th St. opened July 10 and marks Center Court's fourth Phoenix-area location. The facility includes tournament-quality courts, a new corporate headquarters, a dedicated training center and amenities designed around year-round play.

The opening comes as indoor pickleball continues to grow across the Valley. Earlier this year, Patch reported that national franchise PickleRage announced plans for an indoor Scottsdale facility, reflecting increasing demand for climate-controlled courts as temperatures climb.

Center Court said the Scottsdale location took about seven months to transform from a former Scottsdale Fiesta Retail Center space into a full-service pickleball club.

Upgrades include sound-dampening technology, professional lighting designed to reduce glare, locker rooms with showers and a Power Plate performance and injury-prevention program included with membership.

"This club represents much more than another building or another 13 courts," Center Court CEO Tim Keightley said. "It represents people who believed in what we were building, members who committed before we opened our doors and a community that continues to grow together."

The new location brings Center Court's Valley footprint to 51 indoor courts across four clubs. Members have access to all locations, including facilities near Scottsdale Road and Mayo Boulevard in Scottsdale, 59th Avenue and Bell Road in Glendale, and Williams Field Road and Val Vista Drive in Gilbert.

The company also partners with USA Pickleball and hosts Golden Ticket tournaments that can provide players a pathway to the USA Pickleball National Championships.

The Scottsdale-Shea club is currently offering a limited number of founding memberships, with Gold, Platinum, Diamond and couples membership options available.

"Every decision inside this club was made with our member experience in mind," Ryan Trefry, Center Court's vice president of operations and club support, said. "From the lighting and acoustics to our coaching, programming and recovery spaces, every detail was designed to help players enjoy the game at their best."
