This Scottsdale Hospital Ranked No. 2 In Arizona By U.S. News

HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea was ranked second statewide and rated high performing in more than 15 procedures and conditions.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center has been named Arizona's second-best hospital in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings, placing just behind Mayo Clinic-Arizona.

The annual 2026-2027 Best Hospitals report evaluated 120 hospitals across Arizona, ranking facilities based on patient outcomes, quality of care and performance across a range of specialties, procedures and medical conditions.

HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, located at 9003 E. Shea Blvd., earned "High Performing" ratings in more than 15 procedures and conditions, including aortic valve surgery, colon cancer surgery, diabetes care, ear, nose and throat surgery, and treatment for heart arrhythmias.

The hospital also scored well with patients. According to U.S. News, 88% of patients said they would recommend Scottsdale Shea Medical Center to friends and family.

The rankings also recognized HonorHealth Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical Center as one of Arizona's Best Regional Hospitals, giving HonorHealth two hospitals among the state's top-performing medical centers.

This year's rankings place a greater emphasis on patient outcomes than in previous years. U.S. News said it reduced the influence of factors such as hospital reputation and size while giving more weight to how well hospitals help patients recover from serious illnesses and procedures.

The rankings are designed to help patients compare hospitals for everything from routine surgeries to complex medical care, while also highlighting facilities that perform exceptionally well in specific specialties and treatments.
