- Barrett-Jackson started its engine this weekend at WestWorld in Scottsdale. The week-long show will end on Jan. 30. More than 1,800 cars will go to the bidder with the most to offer. Comparatively, the Arizona Republic reported that the auction house sold 1,039 autos last year, and $99.9 million in sales were recorded in 2021. - According to Patch reporting, "Edward Vallejo, 63, is facing a charge of seditious conspiracy in addition to other charges. [He is joined by] ten other members of the Oath Keepers for... planning and supporting the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection." Vallejo will stay in jail until his trial according to the Judge that considered the matter. The Oath Keepers present at the Capitol on Jan. 6 were accused of "plotting and attempting to use force to stop the transfer of presidential power." (Patch)
- PHOENIX, AZ — The Arizona Humane Society is grateful! Even after life, Betty White continues to be a dogs' best friend and a cats', and so on! "The society received more than $84,000 in donations as part of the Betty White Challenge," according to Patch. "Wow, that's amazing," said Kelsea Patton, speaking on behalf of the Society. Ms. White would have turned 100 earlier in the week. (Patch)
