Here are the top stories in Scottsdale today:

  1. Wesley Abeita allegedly attacked a woman at the Gateway Trail Head in Scottsdale on Monday, according to reporting by AB15 Arizona. An update on Tuesday claims that Abeita, seen Tuesday morning at the scene of Monday's attack, admitted to the vandalism of cars (not attacking the victim) to a municipal employee. Pursued by police for two days, Abeita was arrested Tuesday morning. The report says that the victim was hospitalized with substantial injuries. (ABC15 Arizona)
  2. U.S. News and World Report, famous for its college rankings report, has examined and ranked "more than 80,000 public elementary and middle schools across the United States," according to Patch staff reporter Caitlin Sievers.
