  1. Patch reports "Two fast-casual chicken franchises — Birdcall and Daddy's Chicken Shack — have announced plans to enter the Phoenix market with several restaurants."   3. David Alcorn, 78, of Scottsdale, was one of two men convicted late last month by a federal court for wire fraud and money laundering, to name two charges. According to Your Valley reporting, the conspiracy operated in four states and included eight additional collaborators. The effort to defraud was focused on those nearing retirement to make fake investments. According to the article, the resulting loss of hundreds of victims was more than $20 million.
