Here are the top stories today in Scottsdale:
- Silverleaf Country Club was host to a real-time episode of "Wild Kingdom" this weekend in Scottsdale. A bobcat chased local fowl for a quick meal in front of golfers filming the incident. According to Patch reporting, the bobcat made its way through a sand trap when it nabbed its prey. (Scottsdale Patch)
- "We are excited to announce that this will be the first election where Scottsdale candidates can collect electronic signatures using the E-Qual system," said Mayor David D. Ortega. "This is a great and secure way to ensure our residents' voices are being heard." According to a press release, Scottsdale will use the E-Qual system, provided by the Arizona Secretary of State's Office, which is an information verification system used to collect signatures electronically to place names on the ballot. - Brian Billick coached the Baltimore Ravens from 1999-2007 and won Super Bowl XXXV against the New York Giants in 2001. Herm Edwards, head coach of ASU, has hired Billick as an offensive analyst and advisor, according to Patch reporting. "Brian has one of the brightest offensive minds in football today, and that is especially why I hired him. He will serve as a valuable resource to our entire coaching staff, but specifically to our offensive staff," Edwards said. (Patch)
