Get on up, Scottsdale! It's Wednesday, so let's get you started with everything you need to know for life in our hometown.

First, today's weather:

After a couple of bursts of thunder earlier in the week, today will be mostly sunny with a high of 89, and a low of 68. Please help yourself to this beautiful fall weather.

Here are the top stories in Scottsdale today:

  1. Get ready for some new taste delights on the Scottsdale waterfront! Buzzed Bull Creamery features frozen dessert treats and specialty coffees in alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties. According to reporting in AZ Big Media, the spacious facility at 7135 East Camelback Road will kick open its door later in October. Co-partner Jay Shah had this to say about the location, "We think that Old Town Scottsdale is the prime location to open Buzzed Bull's first Arizona location, and we can't wait for residents and visitors to give it a try." Shah is joined by his wife Nilam Shah, co-partner, and Dominick Davis, managing partner. (AZ Big Media)
  2. Cue the Chihuly! Two extensive Chihuly blown glass installations are coming to Scottsdale's Taliesin West and nearby Phoenix Botanical Garden. The exhibits of the renowned artist open on Dec. 3, 2021, and run through June 19, 2022. AZ Family's article on the two displays included a quote from Niki Stewart, VP at Taliesin West, "You know, Dale Chihuly, as an artist, was deeply influenced by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, so to bring together these two artists' work here in the Valley is so exciting for all of us."
