Loop 101 improvement project

The Arizona Department of Transportation is widening and improving Loop 101 from Interstate 17 in Phoenix to Pima Road in Scottsdale. Following are current and upcoming restrictions:

  • Eastbound Loop 101 will be closed from 56th Street to Scottsdale Road from 10 p.m. Friday, June 25, to 5 a.m. Monday, June 28. Detour on Pinnacle Peak and Bell roads to Scottsdale Road.
  • Eastbound Loop 101 will be closed from Scottsdale Road to Pima Road from 10 p.m. Friday, July 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 12. Detour on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Thompson Peak Parkway to Pima Road/Princess Drive.

Lane restrictions at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Hayden Road

Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Hayden Road 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays May 25 – June 30 for utility work.

Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard restricted from Raintree Boulevard to 100th Street

Multiple lane restrictions will occur on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard from Raintree Boulevard to 100th Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 14 - 25 for road work. 

Westbound Camelback Road restricted from 75th Street to Scottsdale Road

Westbound Camelback Road will be reduced to one lane from 75th Street to immediately east of Scottsdale Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 7 - 28 for manhole work.

Lane restrictions at Thomas and Scottsdale roads intersection (new)

Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the Thomas and Scottsdale roads intersection 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 2, while street signs are replaced.

Lane restrictions on Thomas Road near Scottsdale Road (updated)

Multiple lane restrictions will occur on Thomas Road from Scottsdale Road to 60th Street 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays May 10 – July 2 for boring.  

Lane restrictions at Thomas and Miller roads intersection (updated)

Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the Thomas and Miller roads intersection 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays through Friday, July 2, for boring.

Thomas Road restricted between Hayden Road and 78th Street (updated)

Thomas Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Hayden Road and 78th Street June 28 - July 14 for road improvements.

McDowell Road restricted between 64th Street and Scottsdale Road

McDowell Road will be reduced to two lanes in each direction between 64th Street and Scottsdale Road June 9 - Aug. 31 for road work.

McDowell Road restricted between Miller and Hayden roads

McDowell Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Miller and Hayden roads June 18 - 25 for pavement preservation.

Scottsdale Road restricted at Skysong Boulevard (new)

Scottsdale Road will be reduced to two lanes in each direction at Roosevelt Street 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 1, while street signs are replaced.

Lane restrictions at Scottsdale Road and Roosevelt Street intersection (new)

Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Scottsdale and McDowell roads 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, while street signs are replaced.

Southbound Hayden Road restricted near Roosevelt Street (new)

Southbound Hayden Road will be reduced to one lane between Roosevelt and Pierce streets 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays through Friday, July 2, for boring.
