Following are significant road construction projects and traffic restrictions occurring in Scottsdale May 28 - June 6. For more information, contact Traffic Engineering at 480-312-7250.

Loop 101 improvement project

The Arizona Department of Transportation is widening and improving Loop 101 from Interstate 17 in Phoenix to Pima Road in Scottsdale. To learn more about the project and upcoming traffic restrictions, please visit ADOT’s project webpage, where you can also subscribe to project alerts. Following are current and upcoming restrictions:

• Loop 101 will have intermittent lane closures between Interstate 17 and Pima Road through spring 2021 for diamond grinding of the pavement. For more information on the diamond grinding process and a map of the Loop 101 closures, please see ADOT’s flier.

Lane restrictions at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Hayden Road

Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Hayden Road 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays May 25 – June 30 for utility work.

Lane restrictions at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Altadena Avenue (new)

Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Altadena Avenue 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 31 – June 11 (except Sundays) for road work.

Northbound Scottsdale Road restricted at Vista Drive

Northbound Scottsdale Road will be reduced to one lane at Vista Drive 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays through Friday, June 4, for boring.

Lane restrictions at Indian School and Granite Reef roads intersection (new)

Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the Indian School and Granite Reef roads intersection through Wednesday, June 9, for road work.

Indian School Road restricted between Pima Road and 86th Street (new)

Indian School Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 86th Street and Pima Road 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 4 – 7 for road work.

Lane restrictions on Thomas Road near Scottsdale Road

Multiple lane restrictions will occur on Thomas Road from Scottsdale Road to 60th Street 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays May 10 - June 4 for boring. 

Southbound Scottsdale Road restricted between McDowell Road and Skysong Boulevard (new)

Southbound Scottsdale Road will be reduced to one or two lanes between McDowell Road and Skysong Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays through Friday, June 4, for utility work. 

Westbound McKellips Road restricted from Hayden Road to Miller Road (new)

Westbound McKellips Road will be reduced to one lane from Hayden Road to Miller Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays through Friday, June 4, for utility work.
