Here are the top stories today in Scottsdale:

  1. A Scottsdale man, Antoine Suggs, 38, is pending extradition to Wisconsin for the alleged murders of four people in western Wisconsin. According to ABC15 Arizona, "Suggs reportedly turned himself into the Gilbert Police Department on Friday." Suggs remains jailed in Arizona, pending extradition. (ABC15 Arizona)
  2. The City Of Scottsdale is hosting a free, walk-in COVID-19 vaccination pop-up event. If you have yet to receive the vaccine or are eligible for a second dose, you can attend the event at Eldorado Park Community Center, 2311 N. Miller Road — today, Thursday, Sept. 23, from 2:30-6 p.m. According to a city press release, the Pfizer vaccine, approved for those 12 years of age and older (parental consent form) and the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available. For those needing the second dose, a follow-up walk-in pop-up will take place on Thursday, Oct. 14. For more information, please call 480-312-3111. (Press Release Desk)
  3. Yoga classes are now part of the Immersive Van Gogh Exhibition in Scottsdale. The exhibit includes opportunities to practice your poses immersed in the sights and sounds of a Starry Night, for example. According to the exhibit's website, fee-specific classes are held Thursdays through Sundays at 4301 N. Scottsdale Road and are open to people of all fitness levels. (Van Gogh exhibit)
  4. A special election ballot will be arriving in Scottsdale homes in the weeks ahead. The ballots include the approved/not approved question regarding the Scottsdale General Plan for 2035. According to the Daily Independent, "A general plan is a state-mandated document that defines a municipality's vision, values, and goals. It includes short-and long-term guidelines to assist in decision-making." The Scottsdale City Council adopted the current draft of the 2035 General Plan in June. (Your Valley)
