Here are the top stories in Scottsdale today:

  1. A woman has died after a 4-vehicle crash on Loop 101 near Hayden Road on Wednesday afternoon. Four vehicles collided on the freeway, causing the woman's pickup truck to slam into a wall and flip over. The woman died from her injuries, and it is unknown if anyone else was injured. The events leading to the crash are still under investigation. (Arizona's Family)
  2. Sarah Kearney has been selected to serve as executive director of Blue Zones Project Scottsdale. Blue Zones is a movement focused on well-being, longevity, and making the community "a better place to live, work, learn, and play." You can learn more here. (Subscription: The Business Journals)
  3. iCode, a STEM education franchise, is coming to Scottsdale at 13190 N. Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd., Suite 100, with a grand opening scheduled for Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. At this education campus, kids can learn about "everything from coding to programming drones and robotics, to digital arts."   4. Salad and Go is opening its fourth Scottsdale location at 15305 N. 87th St. on July 31. Guests can enjoy "high-quality, made-to-order salads, wraps, soups and breakfast options as well as refreshing beverages, including hand-crafted lemonades, teas and cold brew coffee." To celebrate the opening, Salad and Go will donate about 1,500 salads from team member training for both this location and a new Goodyear location to Waste Not and The Salvation Army Corps of Estrella Mountain.
