Here's the latest on what's happening in Scottsdale, delivered straight to your inbox.

Good day, neighbors! Geoff Campbell here with a fresh Scottsdale Daily.
First, today's weather:
Sunny and comfortable. Today's high will be 78 and the low, 53.
Here are the top stories today in Scottsdale:
- Three hundred new jobs are coming to Scottsdale. HomeLight is a real estate platform "transforming the home buying and selling process for top real estate agents and their clients," according to reporting in the Biz Journal and on the HomeLight website. "Congratulations to HomeLight on their continued success," said Scottsdale Mayor David D. Ortega. "Scottsdale has positioned itself as the perfect location for HomeLight's growth and innovation in the real estate market, and I am always delighted when smart companies capitalize on the excellent foundation our booming tech sector provides in Scottsdale." In a growing and competitive market for less traditional buyer/seller vehicles, HomeLight appears to have selected Scottsdale for both its size and attractive housing market. - The City of Scottsdale provides many services to its ever-growing community. Among those services are video, cable, and podcast programs created to enlighten and educate the citizenry. One relevant example is the Special Election results broadcast will be available on ScottsdaleAZ.gov after 8 p.m. on Nov.6. (You can also receive real-time updates from Patch!) Other programming includes Arizona Wildlife Views — recreation and wildlife; City Information —events, programs, and services; Fire & Water: Restoring Arizona's Forests —protecting our watersheds; Hard Times, Simple Times—life in Scottsdale during the Great Depression; and Invasive Weeds — limit the spread of invasive weeds. The descriptions are truncated here as is the list, both can be found in their entirety in the release provided by the City. (Press Release Desk)
- Journey Medical Corp is going public! Founded by Claude Maraoui, formerly of Medicis Pharmaceutical—Scottsdale, the company filed SEC paperwork last week, according to reporting in Phoenix Business Journal. Journey Medical Corp's focus is on "identifying, acquiring and strategically commercializing innovative, differentiated dermatology products through its efficient sales and marketing model." Reportedly, the company has been active for 7 years. (Phoenix Business Journal-subscribe)
