Here are the 3 top stories in Scottsdale today:

  1. The locally rooted band, Kongos, will be playing two shows in Phoenix on the same night in May, according to Patch. Brother Johnny, Jesse, Dylan, and Danny Kongos will play the main show at 8:30 p.m. on May 13 at Last Exit Live. The brothers were born in South Africa, but eventually found their way to Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, and later enrolled at Arizona State. They forming the band in 2003 and released their most recent album, "1929, Pt.2", in 2019. (Patch)
  2. AZ Big Media reported that, "a rare, 4-building industrial flex portfolio in the Scottsdale Airpark traded hands for $14,000,000 in an all-cash transaction." It is the biggest multi-tenant industrial sale in Scottsdale Airpark since September 2017. Only on the market for a week, ORION Investment Real Estate sold the property quickly to Portland-based buyer Schnitzer Properties. The full-price sale led to a closing 60 days later. 3. The Maricopa Health Department cited six Phoenix-area restaurants for four or more priority violations. One of those locations was high-end Boulders Resort and Spa in Scottsdale. According to AZ Central, major violations "directly contribute to an increased risk of food-borne illness or injury." Click on the link to learn more and find a list of the many restaurants that received "A" ratings for no violations. (AZ Central)
