- Don't drive impaired. It's an implied warning from the Scottsdale Police Department, the Governor's Office of Highway Safety, the Tempe Mesa and Gilbert police departments, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, and the Department of Public Safety. Each of these agencies will be patrolling for impaired drivers during the Patrick's Day weekend. The additional vigilance occurs from Thursday through Sunday, according to Patch reporting.
