🌱 Motorcycle Crash Injures 2 + Police Issue Phone Scam Warning
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Scottsdale.

Hello, hello! Helen Eckhard here with your fresh copy of the Scottsdale Daily, filled with everything you need to know about what's happening in town.
But first, today's weather:
Cool with plenty of sun. High: 66 Low: 43.
Here are the top 3 stories in Scottsdale today:
- Two people are injured following a motorcycle crash on Saturday morning. Police say the incident occurred near 94th Street and Cactus Road around 1:00 a.m. after the motorcycle driver failed to navigate a roundabout and crashed into a stone wall. Police believe impairment may have been a factor in the accident, which is currently under investigation. (ABC 15 Arizona)
- Scottsdale police have issued another warning about a persistent phone scam in which fraudsters pose as police department officials in an attempt to collect money for alleged warrants. Police say the scammers tools to make the call appear as though it is coming from the Scottsdale Police Department and will often have personal information about the victim that they obtained through social media searches. Individuals who receive a scam call are advised to hang up and call the non-emergency police department number at 480-312-5000. (Daily Independent)
- The Scottsdale Development Review Board recently recommended approval for the construction of two new multifamily housing complexes. The Mercado Courtyard project would house a total of 273 apartments and include discounts for residents who work within a one-mile radius of the complex. Developers say 10 percent of the units will also be reserved for seniors. (Scottsdale Progress)
