Responsible for "beautiful open spaces, playgrounds, pools, walking and hiking paths, pools, community centers, sports courts, life-long learning opportunities, and more to everyone in Scottsdale... and beyond," the department wants your input on its Strategic Plan, according to a city press release. Take the online survey or for in-person feedback, attend one of the following meetings: Monday, April 11 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Granite Reef Sr Center; Monday, April 18 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Mustang Library; or Wednesday, April 27 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic Center. A cascading saltwater pool and well-designed backyard features are paired with a "4,529-square-foot single-level home with four bedrooms, four and one-half bathrooms, and is situated behind the prestigious Troon Golf and Country Club gates." 3. On March 29, Scottsdale City Council "approved a $490,750 contract with Environmental Planning Group, LLC, to provide design services for a dog park at Thompson Peak Park, 19900 N. Hayden Road." Daily Independent reporting states that the Scottsdale citizenry passed the project in 2019. "Lighted sports courts, open turf area, walking trails/pathways, a covered playground structure, restroom building, shade structures, and a lighted parking lot" are all parts of the plan.
