  1. Record rains blanketed the Metro on Christmas eve. An all-day rain event broke the record for the day, according to KJZZ reporting. The piece claimed that Dec. 24 was "the ninth-wettest day of all time calculated back to 1990." The possibility of more rain is on tap for this week. (KJZZ)
  2. According to AZ Family reporting, a motor cyclist rear-ended a truck-trailer combination on Hayden and Indian School on Friday night. The rider was killed, and no other injuries were reported. The investigation closed down the roadway. (Arizona's Family)
  3. Embry Health has opened nine COVID-19 testing sites for New Year's Day in Arizona including a Scottsdale location, according to KJZZ reporting.
