Scottsdale Court Adds Online Chat Feature To Website

Case information is a click away with Scottsdale City Court's online chat feature.

Press release from the City of Scottsdale:

May 11, 2021

Scottsdale City Court recently began offering an online chat feature, which allows users to receive case information and have their questions answered by a live court clerk, right from their computer or mobile device. Find the court online at ScottsdaleAZ.gov, search “city court.”

Visitors to the site will see a new “live chat” icon in the bottom righthand corner of the screen. After answering a few quick prompts, users are directed to the relevant webpages or connected with a clerk, during regular business hours.

Scottsdale City Court has remained open throughout the pandemic, and most court proceedings were converted to a virtual format to protect staff and the public. For more than a year, court staff have focused on expanding virtual services, and now offer virtual civil traffic hearings, online appointment scheduling and the ability to remotely obtain an order of protection.

The site also allows people to file a motion online, look up a case, make a payment and request defensive driving school and other services.

Court administrator Ken Kung commended the cross-departmental collaboration that made the chat feature possible and said, “It is always great that we can provide the public with additional services and expand new access to the court.”
