Here are the top 3 stories in Scottsdale today:

  1. Arizona Democratic Sens. Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly support ending Title 42, a President Donald Trump/pandemic area border policy, but they caution the current administration should be prepared to put a well-considered and complete plan in its place. Patch reports that the letter from the senators to President Joe Bident puts them at odds with many on their side of the aisle who are calling for the removal of Title 42, which "allows border officials [to] turn back immigrants who potentially pose a health risk by entering the country." The senators wrote, "a sharp end to Title 42 without a comprehensive plan in motion would significantly increase the strain on DHS, border communities, and local nonprofits that are already near or at capacity." (Patch)
  2. Scottsdale's Valerie Thompson will appear in "Fast & Fabulous" at the Cave Creek Museum from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 2. According to Foothills Focus, "Thompson is the 10x land speed record holder with membership in the Sturgis Hall of Fame and eight 300 MPH clubs and one 300 MPH club." Survivor of a terrible crash at 360 miles an hour, she is regularly ranked in the top 10 fastest motorcycle racers. (Foothills Focus)
  3. It's "new listing Tuesday," and Scottsdale Patch has come through again. Five houses made the list, including a $450,700 Scottsdale home with two beds and two baths, and a Paradise Valley home for $10 million boasting five beds and 5.5 baths. Check out all five; tap on the resource. (Scottsdale Patch)
