🌱 Stealing From Boy Scouts + Transportation Plan + No Foul Play
Patch's daily newsletter for Scottsdale — it's the best way to start your day!

Good morning, neighbors! Geoff Campbell here with the latest copy of the Scottsdale Daily.
First, today's weather:
Tired of beautiful weather — oh, well! Today we will see plenty of sunshine, a few clouds and a high of 88, and a low of 59. Enjoy!
Here are the top stories today in Scottsdale:
- It happened overnight on Saturday. Boy Scout Troop 446's trailer, full of the monthly collection of recyclable electronics, was stolen while sitting next to a police van. But, according to reporting on Fox 10 News, it's what happened next that was the surprising part. Sponsored by Our Lady of Perpetual Help, troop parents set up a GoFundMe page this week and raised $6,000 in six hours. According to the piece, if the trailer is found, the troop will return the dollars to the donors. (FOX 10 News Phoenix)
- The city of Scottsdale wants to know what you think about the 2021 draft Transportation Action Plan, according to reporting in the Scottsdale Independent. Workers, residents and business owners are being asked to share their thoughts via virtual meeting feedback. The plan will lay out a blueprint for transportation priorities, programs, and expenditures for the future. According to the report, "Providing input is easy — residents and others can visit ScottsdaleAZ.gov and search 'TAP' to find links to the online virtual meeting presentations, supporting material, and information along with an online feedback form. Online feedback will be open through Sunday, Oct. 31." (Your Valley)
- Robert "Bobby" Cuillo drove his rented scooter into the canal after a night of drinking in Oldtown, according to reporting by ABC15 News. On July 19 — two days after he was reported missing — his body was found by police who in the intervening months have been collaborating with the county coroner to piece the final minutes of Bobby's life together. According to the report, "no foul play was suspected." The article said that the 23 year old left Wasted Grain with an alcohol blood level over the legal limit, rode his scooter to the canal at Camelback and Scottsdale, and accidentally entered the water.
