Here are the top stories in Scottsdale today:

  1. City officials are hopping mad over the most recent street takeover on Camelback and 68th Street. Mayor David Ortega addressed the issue at Tuesday's Council meeting. According to AZ Family reporting, Ortega said, "This dangerous, violent behavior is not tolerated in Scottsdale, and we will do everything in our power to bring these perpetrators to justice." Gunfire added to the chaos on Sunday. (Arizona's Family)
  2. AAHA! Art. Food. Wine. is back. According to the Press Release Desk, "the March 12 event at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn features a spectacular dinner, raffle, a silent auction and a live auction conducted by dynamic auctioneer Letitia Frye." The event raises money to ensure that the Hospice of the Valley can continue to serve those in need for the next 45 years. Reportedly the event will include a tribute to Mark Tarbell, renowned chef and philanthropic restauranteur. (Press Release Desk)
  3. "I feel like I live in an unregulated, 24/7 after-hours bar district. So, when the bar in Tempe or Scottsdale closes, they come home and continue the party here," said homeowner Stephanie Nestlerode. "That was one reaction to what AZ Family is reporting as an increase in short-term rentals and a lack of effective regulations. Consistently bad behavior by short-term renters breaking house rules, like no gatherings, result in noise complaints nuisance behavior and have led Nestlerode and others to advocate for statewide legislation. 'I think there needs to be some kind of a regulation that keeps these consistently commercial properties outside of a residential area like this,' Nestlerode said." (Arizona's Family)
