- After falling on Sunrise Trail, a hiker was rescued by first responders from Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Tempe. A helicopter took her to the hospital, according to AZ Central. This incident had been preceded the day before by a helicopter rescue on Camelback Mountain. (The Arizona Republic)
- On Sunday mornings in January, you can bring Fido to the Dessert Botanical Garden from 7-11 a.m., according to KPNX. Your fur baby will walk the paths and trails at no charge.
