Here are the top stories today in Scottsdale:
- A community vigil was held on Sunday to honor Chaskah Davis Smith. According to AZ Family reporting, Chaska's grandmother, Stephanie Davis, and her husband, Thomas Desharnais, were charged with the 11 year old's death. The Extended Stay America in Old Town Scottsdale hosted the event — it had been Chaskah's home for two years. Laurie Staalberg, a retired teacher, helped organize the vigil. "We just want to show that he's not forgotten, and we care." (Arizona's Family)
- There were more flight cancellations at Sky Harbor over the weekend. This time more than 100 American Airlines flights were canceled, according to Fox 10. Reasons for the cancellations were not clear, but this was not the only incident. Dozens of flights were also delayed. According to the report, American Airlines did not return calls.
(FOX 10 News Phoenix) - The sixth Spinato's Pizzeria, a 4,650-square-foot space located at Loop 101 and Via De Ventura Drive, is now open! It seats 160, according to KTAR.
