β€’ Yavapai County OK $280K in grants (redrocknews.com) β€” Yavapai County has awarded more than $80,000 to Sedona-area nonprofits, including Meals on Wheels programs and Friends of the Verde River, directly supporting local seniors and conservation work. Supervisors also approved nearly $3.4 million in Sedona Airport repair projects, funded mostly by federal and state grants, with construction planned at night to minimize neighborhood disruption.

β€’ Sedona Retreat Explores Reiki and Sacred Healing (naturalcentralpa.com) β€” A six-day Reiki and sacred healing retreat is coming to Sedona in March 2027, offering attunements on the red rocks and sound-healing ceremonies. Participants will visit sites like Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock, Airport Mesa and Chapel Rock, and stay at Los Abrigados Resort along Oak Creek, with local guide Nancy Stuart helping lead the experience.

β€’ Carol Spencer Etter - Sedona Red Rock News (redrocknews.com) β€” Sedona is remembering longtime resident Carol Spencer Etter, who died August 17 at age 93 and was among the first couples married at Wayside Chapel. She and her husband Kent ran Etter Professional Cleaning until 1990, and she leaves behind a large family who will honor her privately while suggesting memorial donations to FaithWorks in Flagstaff.
