• Sun City temple offers 'A Life of Meaning' series (yourvalley.net) — Temple Beth Shalom in Sun City is inviting residents to a three-part adult education series on finding meaning through Reform Judaism, running Oct. 5, 12 and 18. Led by Rabbi Dana Evan Kaplan, the morning sessions will blend short readings with open discussion. Registration is required, with discounted pricing for members and a prepayment deadline for nonmembers.
   

• Valley rabbis emphasize reflection, purpose and new beginnings in this year's High Holiday sermons (jewishaz.com) — Sun City congregations Beth Emeth and Temple Beth Shalom are preparing High Holiday services that emphasize reflection, spiritual direction, and new beginnings for local worshippers. Newly ordained and longtime rabbis across the West Valley share how they'll guide congregants through questions of purpose, change, and moral direction during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, inviting residents into a season of thoughtful renewal.
   

• A Different Way: Following Jesus Beyond Christian Nationalism — Grand Canyon Synod of the ELCA (gcsynod.org) — American Lutheran Church in Sun City will host a Nov. 14 symposium examining Christian nationalism and how believers can balance faith, citizenship, and political power. Organized by the Grand Canyon Synod's Growing in Faith Program, the event features Bishop Shelley Bryan Wee and welcomes clergy and laypeople. Locals can attend in person or online with advance registration.
