3. Parents press for answers from Tempe school district in Corona del Sol voyeurism case (abc15.com) — Tempe parents are demanding clearer answers from the Tempe Union High School District after a former surveillance officer was indicted on voyeurism charges involving female students at Corona del Sol High School. Families are pushing for a third-party review of privacy safeguards, more transparency about who had camera access, and stronger protections to prevent similar incidents.
4. Christian Teacher of the Year: April Ellis teaches 1st graders to 'do hard things,' learning phonics, math facts, self-control (heartlandernews.com) — A Tempe first-grade teacher at Valley Christian School has been named a 2026 Christian Teacher of the Year for her structured, faith-centered approach to phonics, math, and character-building. She focuses on helping young students "do hard things," using science-of-reading strategies, movement, and calming techniques to grow both their academic skills and self-control.
