Coronavirus Postpones Arizona State Basketball Game

ASU's next game is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 7, vs. UCLA in Tempe at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN.

ARIZONA — Citing "recent COVID-19 developments" within Arizona State University, Sun Devils Athletics reported the men's basketball game slated for Saturday, Jan. 2, has been postponed. A future date for the game against Washington has yet to be determined.

The last game Arizona State University (ASU) men's basketball played was Dec. 16, since coronavirus within programs of opposing teams — Utah on Dec. 22 and Incarnate Word on Dec. 18 — resulted in the cancellation of those matchups, officials said.

According to authorities, the next game for ASU men's basketball will be against UCLA in Tempe at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7. The game will be broadcast by ESPN.
