1 Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of 18-Year-Old: Tucson Police

Tuscon police arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with the Wednesday shooting.

TUCSON, AZ — Police have arrested a person in connection with a fatal shooting in Tucson this week that left an 18-year-old man dead.

Tucson police arrested 15-year-old Terrayne Newsome on a first-degree murder warrant in connection with the shooting death of 18-year-old Felix Alexandrew Pichardo. Newsome was found in a home in the 700 block of West Lightstar Circle and was taken and booked into Pima County Jail, police said.

On July 7 just after 12:30 p.m. police were called to the 4100 block of East 29th Street after receiving a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, police said they found and rendered aid to Pichardo, who was taken to Banner University Medical Center where he later died.
