3 Dogs In Tucson Killed By Aggressive Bees: Tucson Fire Dept.

Firefighters urged drivers to avoid the area as they responded to the scene.

TUCSON, AZ—Three dogs have died after an aggressive swarm of bees attacked them on S. Calle Polar in Tucson Wednesday afternoon, according to the Tucson Fire Department.

"Please be mindful of your animals always, but particularly when there are bees on your property the fire department posted on Twitter.

Firefighters urged drivers to avoid the area as they foamed the bees.

"We never enjoy killing precious bees, but in these rare cases it is necessary," the fire department said.

The types of bees that fatally attacked the dogs are not known at this time.
