TUCSON, AZ — Brother John's Beer, Bourbon & BBQ is closing its doors at 1801 N. Stone Ave. after nearly 11 years, but the beloved Tucson restaurant isn't gone for good.
The closure, which was first reported by Tucson Foodie and later confirmed by the owners on social media, will take place on Tuesday at 9 p.m.
In its announcement, Brother John's said it is leaving Stone Avenue to find "a more sustainable residential neighborhood closer to where our customers are," with details on the new location to be announced when available.
Customers are invited to stop in for one last weekend of service before the move. The restaurant is offering its full menu along with specially priced liquor and beer during the closing period.
"The former Wildcat House has been an important part of our story, and we are incredibly grateful for the support we've received over the years," the restaurant said on social media. "While it's bittersweet to say goodbye to the historical former Wildcat House, we're excited about the future."
Brother John's opened at the Stone Avenue location in 2015, taking over the site of the Wildcat House, a club built in 1977. The restaurant preserved parts of the original space for nostalgic purposes, repurposing existing materials into the new design.
Catering operations will continue for most events already scheduled and for future off-premises bookings.
