TUCSON, AZ — A stop for gas and snacks turned into a $2 million payday for one lucky Powerball player in Tucson.
A QuikTrip near Craycroft and River roads sold the winning Powerball ticket Saturday, according to Arizona Lottery officials.
The winning numbers were 3, 16, 28, 30 and 59, with a Powerball of 11 and a Power Play of 2.
Lottery officials have not identified the winner or said whether the prize has been claimed. They also did not specify how many numbers had to match for the $2 million prize, only confirming that the ticket sold at the Tucson QuikTrip was a winner.
Powerball drawings are held Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Players can opt to play the same numbers across up to 10 consecutive drawings on a single ticket, either by telling the cashier at purchase or marking the Multi Draw box on a selection slip.
The next drawing is set for June 29, with a jackpot climbing to $360 million.
Anyone holding a ticket from Saturday’s drawing can check it against the winning numbers above. Lottery officials have not released further details about the purchaser or the exact timing of the sale.
