1. Tucson Councilmember Nikki Lee confirms she won't seek 3rd term next year (tucsonsentinel.com) — Tucson City Councilmember Nikki Lee says she won't seek a third term representing Ward 4, opening a key Southeast Side seat in the 2027 city elections. She plans to focus her remaining time on Ward 4 priorities while other council and mayoral races, including a likely mayoral bid by Ward 2's Paul Cunningham, begin to take shape.
2. 1 suspect named, 2 others also sought in killing of Tucson police recruit (tucson.com) — Authorities have identified a suspect in the killing of a Tucson police recruit and are asking for the public's help to find him and two additional suspects. The shooting happened in a Star Valley neighborhood on Tucson's far southwest side, where the recruit lived with his fiancée and child, and investigators have released surveillance video and vehicle details tied to the case.
3. Tucson Now: The University of Arizona College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (kold.com) — Students at the University of Arizona in Tucson can tap the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences' Ambassador program and Career Hub to ease the jump from campus to the workforce.
