Rain brings relief to Mount Lemmon water supply (kold.com) — Recent monsoon rains have finally lifted Summerhaven and Mount Lemmon out of strict Stage III water restrictions, easing life for residents and visitors from Tucson. However, local water officials warn the supply still may not last through winter without good snowfall, meaning another dry season could quickly bring tough restrictions back.
   

2. Nightfall returns to Old Tucson Studios for 34th year of Halloween scares (kgun9.com) — Nightfall at Old Tucson Studios is back through Oct. 31, turning the historic Western movie set into a full-on haunted town with rides, scare zones, and new live shows. This year introduces villain Judge Blackwood plus a new musical and stunt show, with tickets starting at $37 on select Thursdays through Sundays.
   

3. Driver, 20, dies after crashing into business wall on Tucson's East Speedway (kgun9.com) — A 20-year-old driver died Friday night after his Mustang left East Speedway Boulevard in midtown Tucson and crashed into a business wall, according to police. Investigators say high speed was a contributing factor and are examining witness reports that he may have been racing other vehicles, with the case still under active investigation.
   

4. Arizona Inmate Killed Three Sex Offenders — Now Prosecutors Want Him Put to Death – [your]NEWS (yournews.com) — An inmate at the Arizona State Prison Complex in Tucson is now facing the death penalty after being charged with killing three fellow prisoners last year. Prosecutors moved the case to Pinal County due to conflicts in Pima County, and the long‑incarcerated suspect remains behind bars while the capital case proceeds.
