Bear Spotted In Santa Cruz County Neighborhood

TUCSON, AZ—A black bear has been spotted in the Chula Vista community, according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies are urging people to use caution when traveling through the area and report any sightings to them.

Arizona Game and Fish has been alerted to the bear's whereabouts, deputies said.

Black bears are generally shy, secretive animals possessing considerable curiosity and displaying high levels of intelligence and exploratory behavior, according to Arizona Game and Fish. Black bears are generally active in the early morning and late evening.
