The weather is cooling down, but things are heating up at Tohono Chul this fall with the announcement of the garden’s Jazz Under the Stars concert series at the Garden Bistro. Taking place Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 8 p.m. beginning Friday, Oct. 2, Jazz Under the Stars invites guests to unwind beneath the stars with live jazz performances by local musicians, delicious food and handcrafted drinks amid the beauty of the gardens. Celebrate Tucson’s Mexican history and heritage with Ballet Folklorico and mariachi performances, along with a representative from the Mexican Consulate delivering the traditional cry for independence, El Grito! Finish the evening with a lecture on the history of El Grito by Dr. Luis Coronado Guel, Director, SBS Mexico Initiatives.
