The Treasury 1929

Internationally celebrated pianist Fanya Lin will perform at The Treasury 1929’s ongoing Dinner Concert Series, delivering two thirty-minute performances inside the historic downtown Tucson landmark on August 1, 2026. The evening pairs Lin's celebrated musicianship with a handcrafted three-course dinner by acclaimed Tucson chef Daniel Scordato, transforming the restored 1929 bank building into an intimate musical venue.
A Steinway &amp; Sons Artist since 2024 and praised by Musical America and The New York Times as a “committed and heartfelt performance”, Dr. Lin has appeared as a soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Utah Symphony, the Toruń Symphony in Poland, and orchestras across Brazil, Taiwan, and Japan. Her 2024 concerto album Rhapsodic, recorded with the Henryk Wieniawski Lublin Philharmonic under Maestro Theodore Kuchar, was named one of Textura's Top 20 Classical Picks and took Second Prize in Petrichor Records' Best Album Award. Dr. Lin serves on the piano faculty of the University of Arizona as Associate Professor of Practice.
Her program opens with Gershwin's Piano Concerto in F, followed by Liszt’s monumental Sonata in B minor.

Fort Lowell Museum

Before Davis Monthan, there was Fort Lowell! This walking tour covers the history of the land, people, and fort structures that played a huge part in the development of modern Tucson during the Apache Wars, America’s longest-running military conflict. This 2-hour leisurely walk is just under a mile. It will feature the adobe ruins of fort structures such as the Quartermasters Building, Officers’ Quarters, Post Barracks and the Fort Hospital. Admission to the museum is included with the tour.
Be prepared to be on your feet. No public water or restrooms are available at the museum, but the park offers fountains and public restrooms (next to the parking lot, by the Craycroft entrance).
Begins and ends at the Fort Lowell Museum.

This walking tour focuses on the pioneer women who contributed so much to Tucson’s history. Attendees will view the outside of their homes and learn about their lives. Some of the women covered include:
**Sarah Sorin – the first female attorney to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court unassisted **Gladys Franklin – active with historic and artistic endeavors in Tucson, she died in the same room she was born in on Main Avenue at 89. **Edith Kitt – Ran the Arizona Historical Society for years **Bettina Steinfeld – wife of Albert Steinfeld, Merchant Prince of the Southwest **Annie Neal Cheyney – had the Cheyney House built on Main Avenue **Atanacia Hughes (pictured here) – married to Sam Hughes at age 13 or so, gave birth to 15 children (pictured above).
