TUCSON, AZ — July 4 is quickly approaching, which means it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near us this Independence Day.

We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Tucson so you can start planning now. This holiday may be celebrated differently in 2020, so be sure to check Tucson's guidance regarding the use of masks and social distancing before attending.

July 4 Festivities

What: FIREWORKS ONLY Star-Spangled Spectacular

Where: Crossroad at Silverbell District Park 7548 N. Silverbell Road, Tucson

When: July 4, 8:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Fireworks will be set off within the Silverbell District Park promptly at 8:30 p.m. Due to the impacts of coronavirus, the organizers of the event have decided to do a fireworks only celebration but encourage residents to enjoy the display from their homes.

"Though the community may not be able to gather in one location this Fourth of July, we look forward to celebrating our nation's birthday together under the same star-spangled sky," organizers of the event wrote on VisitTucson.org.

What: July 4th Fireworks Show At Naranja Park

Where: Naranja Park, 810 W. Naranja Drive, Oro Valley

When: July 4: 9 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

No onsite spectators will be allowed, but fireworks are set to shoot off at 9 p.m.

"We are still planning an epic fireworks show from the Community and Recreation Center," Parks and Recreation Director Kristy Diaz-Trahan wrote on the celebration's event page. "We will be using larger shells that will soar higher into the night sky."


What: 12th Annual Fourth of July Freedom Run/Walk

Where: Gene C. Reid Park, 100 Country Club Drive, Tucson

When: July 4, 6 a.m - 10 a.m.

Start your July 4 holiday off with a 4-mile race, awards will be given out to the top three finishers in each division, and a free t-shirt is guaranteed if you preregister by June 24.
