March For Our Lives Tucson: Students, Others Call For Gun Safety
Thousands of people are meeting at Jacome Plazal to call for what they say are common sense reforms including background checks.

TUCSON, AZ – People are already filling Jacome Plaza. Thousands more are expected. They all want the same thing – what they call common sense gun reforms.
That includes universal background checks, banning the sale of bump stocks, keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, and raising the age of people allowed to buy a gun.
It is just one of scores of marches taking place around the United States and across the globe that were organized in reaction to the massacre of 17 students and teachers at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida last month.
