Mt. Lemmon Highway Reopens After Morning Closure
The highway up to the mountain was closed for several hours on Wednesday.

TUCSON, AZ – The highway to Mt. Lemmon was reopened Wednesday after a closure of several hours. Only residents were allowed on the road – no other cars, not even bicycles.
While Tucson got mostly rain on Wednesday, the mountain got six inches of snow, making driving conditions dangerous.
Closures like the one Wednesday are not uncommon this time of year.
