Murder Charge Filed After Woman Found Shot To Death At Tucson Apartment

Police said a 38-year-old woman died after gunfire at an apartment on East Golf Links Road Sunday afternoon.

TUCSON, AZ — A Tucson man is facing a murder charge after police say a woman was shot to death during a confrontation at his apartment Sunday afternoon.

Police and fire crews responded around 12:30 p.m. June 29 to the 8250 block of East Golf Links Road, where they found 38-year-old Aimee Leigh Kimble dead on an enclosed patio. She had been shot, police said.

Police arrested a man at the scene. Investigators said Kimble had recently visited the apartment, where a conflict broke out between her and the man living there.

During the confrontation, he shot and killed her, police said.

The man was identified as William Michael Pritchard. He was interviewed by detectives, charged with second-degree murder and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.

The investigation remains active. Police are asking anyone with information to call 911 or 88-CRIME to remain anonymous.

So far in 2026, Tucson has recorded 20 homicides, down from 29 at the same point last year.
