Pima County Government: Pima County's District 3 Seeks Applicants For Pima County Trial Court Commission

The Pima County Commission on Trial Court Appointments has one vacancy for residents of District 3, which is represented by Supervisor Sharon Bronson. District 3 includes the communities of Ajo, Amado, Arivaca, Avra Valley, Tucson (north of Grant and west to Swan), Flowing Wells, Marana (west of Interstate 10), Picture Rocks, Robles Junction and the Tohono O’odham Nation.
Members of the Commission, which screens applicants for Pima County Superior Court judicial positions, are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Arizona Senate. Applicants for this position must satisfy the following requirements: Resident of District 3 for at least one year Registered voter with the same political party or as an independent for at least two years Cannot hold a paid elective or appointed governmental position Cannot be a judge, retired judge or lawyer admitted to practice in Arizona Commission members are required to attend an orientation meeting, regular meetings of the commission and complete the necessary work for screening and recommendation of judicial candidates to the governor.
