Pima County Public Library Is Here To Help You Read Harder In 2021

We at the library love to help with this challenge (and many of us participate ourselves in whatever way we can).

Have you been participating in Book Riot’s Read Harder Challenge, opens a new window over the past few years? Or maybe you haven’t, but have been looking for something to help you read more deliberately and diversely. Whether you have won the challenge every year or just think of it as a guide, the Read Harder challenge is a good place to start for every adult reader—especially if you just want to figure out how to read 25 books in a year.

We at the library love to help with this challenge (and many of us participate ourselves in whatever way we can)! Keep an eye on the Read Harder page, opens a new window, where we’ll be offering lists of suggestions based on each task throughout the early part of the year. And you can always follow Ravenous Readers, opens a new window to see all the lists we make right away!

And if you're looking for a specific kind of book but aren't sure what you're actually looking for, NoveList is always available to help, opens a new window! You can search for books based on style, pace, and other appeals. (Note: you'll need your library card number to access NoveList.)

Bonus: if you find a book that would be great for any of the 2021 tasks, you can tag it “read harder” in the catalog, opens a new window so others can find it, too!
