Pima County Public Library Shared Free Tools For Studying, With Or Without A Buddy
There are lots of free study tools out there, and some even allow you to gather online with study buddies.

Studying for a quiz, test, or high-stakes exam can be hard to do on your own. In non-COVID times, two study buddies might get together to prep for a history test, or a student might attend an after-school algebra test review session led by other students or their teacher. But what if you want or need to study at home, either with friends or by yourself?

The answer: Free study tools!
There are lots of free study tools out there, and some even allow you to gather online with study buddies. You may already know that Brainfuse, which is free with a Pima County Library card, offers online tutoring with live tutors. It also offers a handy feature called Meet: a virtual classroom where you can meet with friends to study. During a Meet session, you can even take notes together on a virtual whiteboard.
What if you don’t have a group of study buddies, or if you’d just rather study on your own? A great resource for you is Quizlet. Even without your own Quizlet account, you can search for flashcards made by other students on popular topics like “SAT Vocabulary” or “World History” and use these online flashcards to study. You can “flip” the cards online, just like you would paper flashcards, but after you flip through them, you can also play games, do interactive activities, and test yourself on your knowledge. If you create your own Quizlet account, you can also make your own flashcards and use them to study.

If you’re preparing for a high-stakes exam like the PSAT, ACT, SAT, GED, or APs, you might start by visiting Learning Express, a part of the Pima County’s free Learn at Home Homework Center. Learning express offers free practice tests and even interactive lessons. Of course, old-fashioned books can help you get ready for these exams, too. Here are just a few of the many study guides you can check out for free from the Pima County Library:
